Coordinator in the Child and Youth Resource Area

Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing in line with the development of the municipality, with more residents, more housing, and a larger range of services. We are always on the lookout for new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in.

Your new job

We are currently in an exciting restart phase of our open care services and are therefore looking for another coordinator for the Family and Youth Team. As a coordinator, you will lead one of our groups of about 10 people and will be part of a management team consisting of two managers and three coordinator colleagues.

You will plan, lead, and support individual practitioners in their daily work, as well as develop and drive processes at the group level. You will also provide managerial support in certain areas. Collaboration with authorities and their caseworkers is a significant and important part of the role, and you are also expected to have some client contact.

We work with children and youth aged 0-20 years and their families/networks. The group you are expected to lead primarily works with younger age groups. Collaboration with external actors such as schools and healthcare is common. Currently, we only work with assistance decisions, but based on the new Social Services Act, it may be that we will also work with non-assistance cases in the future.

Your qualifications

The position requires a higher education degree of at least 180 higher education credits, which means a bachelor's degree or equivalent, such as:

  • social worker
  • social pedagogue (only higher education with 180 credits approved)
  • behavioral scientist
  • other approved and completed three-year higher education degree of at least 180 credits that the employer assesses as equivalent education

If you have experience in leadership, treatment work in the field of children, youth, and families, it is an advantage. Knowledge of methods that align with our working approach is also a plus.

As a person, you are independent, structured, and flexible. You have good collaborative skills, take responsibility, and work from a holistic perspective focusing on the right things. Other qualities you need to have are that you are secure, stable, and communicative. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement, covering reading, writing, and speaking.

In the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement for the position.

Welcome to us

The goal of our operations is that vulnerable children and youth aged 0-20 years will receive the support and protection they are entitled to. We work with assessed assistance measures, and the goal is for children and youth to feel safe and develop within their original families or equivalent.

You can find us at Kapellgatan 2 in Jönköping.

Good to know

In this recruitment, one permanent full-time position will be filled, with a start date according to agreement. Placement will be in the Family and Youth Team. We use ongoing selection.

Good to know: Since vocational higher education programs (YH) in social pedagogy have a different level and scope than higher education programs in the subject, a YH degree cannot replace this requirement.

In your application, we would like you to include a CV as well as attached degree certificates and current employment certificates. All your employment must be verifiable with certificates indicating the position and the extent of your work. Even if you already work with us, you need to present degree certificates and employment certificates for positions you have held outside the municipality. Applications that do not meet this will not be prioritized.

At the job interview, you must provide an extract from the National Police Board's criminal and suspicion register according to the provisions of the Act (2007:171) on background checks for such homes for care or accommodation that receive children. Order this in good time and bring it to the interview.
