Accounting Assistant Needed in Jönköping

We are currently looking for an Accounting Assistant for our client company in Jönköping. The position is initially on a consulting basis through Poolia for six months, with good opportunities for direct employment with the client for the right person. About the Position

In the role of accounting assistant, you are an important point of contact for both customers and suppliers, as well as providing administrative support to the organization. You work broadly with financial administration and are involved in the entire financial flow. Your main responsibility lies within accounts payable, where you handle supplier invoices through invoice scanning, matching against purchase orders, and following up on discrepancies to ensure correct accounting.

The work also includes account reconciliations, basic bookkeeping, and investigating and handling any discrepancies. You are responsible for setting up suppliers and postings in the business system and use Excel as a natural support tool in your daily work. The role also involves functioning as a backup within accounts receivable and contributing to other administration and internal service based on the organization's needs.

Who Are You?

In the role of accounting assistant, you work closely with the business on administrative and financial tasks related to the ongoing financial flow. You have experience from an administrative role and are used to handling finance-related tasks. We are looking for someone with a basic financial education, such as the economics program in high school, combined with some work experience in finance or administration.

You have good system skills, work fluently in MS Office, and express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

As a person, you are organized and meticulous, with the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. You have a flexible working style and contribute a positive attitude in your daily work. The role sometimes involves various points of contact, which means you enjoy collaborating with others and find it easy to communicate, both via phone and in personal meetings. You are service-oriented and appreciate being a support in the daily administrative and financial work.
