Coach for the Employment Unit

Do you want to help shape the future of labor market work and support people who are far from the labor market towards work or studies? We are looking for two coaches for the employment unit.

We are facing significant changes related to the upcoming legislative proposal on activity requirements and are looking for someone who wants to help develop methods and interventions during this transition period.

The employment unit is organized within the social administration and works closely with the municipality's caseworkers for financial support.

As a coach, you play a central role in supporting and motivating individuals towards self-sufficiency. You work closely with the individual and adopt a solution-focused and relationship-oriented approach. The assignment involves preventing social exclusion and promoting participation in society, while also contributing to the development of the organization based on new demands and needs.

In your work, you collaborate with stakeholders such as the Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, the region, and the business community. An important part of the assignment is to match the right candidates with employers, providing support during internships and work based on the Supported Employment method. Through Supported Employment, an established method for work-oriented rehabilitation, you work systematically to help individuals establish themselves in the labor market based on their circumstances.

We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves, has good communication skills, and can build trusting relationships. You are persistent, patient, and enjoy working long-term with individuals who need extra support. You have the ability to see the individual from a holistic perspective and feel comfortable in a role where you work both independently and together with others to achieve common goals. Experience working with people who are far from the labor market is important, as well as an interest in working in an organization undergoing change.

The position is a permanent full-time position, with start date as soon as possible by agreement.

Qualifications

• You have a bachelor's degree (180 credits) in social work, behavioral science, occupational therapy, or another education that we assess as equivalent.
• You have experience in social work.
• You have a B driver's license.
• We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Meritorious:

• Knowledge and experience of motivational interviewing (MI).
• Experience with Supported Employment.
• Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disorders (NPF) and mental health issues.
• Experience collaborating with the Public Employment Service.
• Experience working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
