The Role of Interpreter Coordinator

As an interpreter coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating interpreter resources based on incoming interpreter requests, focusing on quality, accessibility, and good service.

The work involves daily contact with interpreter users, interpreters, and partners, which requires good collaboration skills and a professional approach.

Depending on your qualifications, the position may also include certain interpreting assignments. We offer a varied and socially important job where you contribute to increased accessibility and participation.

The Interpreter Center handles approximately 2,300 interpreter requests per year. The role also includes administrative tasks, such as contacts with interpreter centers in other regions as well as cost and planning work.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with at least a three-year high school education focused on administration, economics, or other education/experience deemed equivalent.

For the position, we prefer that you have the prescribed sign language interpreter training or transcription training, as some interpreting assignments may be included.

You are stable, self-assured, and can work independently even during high-tempo periods. Since the role involves many contacts, you should have good collaboration skills, a high sense of service, and ease in building relationships. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility, and are flexible in your approach.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written; knowledge of sign language is considered a plus. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
