HR Partner at Karolinska University Hospital
Are you an experienced HR partner looking to make a real difference? At Karolinska University Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the operations and contribute to the development of HR structures, processes, and methods that support our healthcare services.
We are now looking for two HR partners – one temporary position and one permanent position – who want to drive change and development in a dynamic and meaningful work environment.
You will be offered
- To be part of Karolinska's HR department, which consists of over 90 employees with broad expertise and strong commitment.
- An inspiring and professional work environment where your skills and engagement contribute to further developing structures, methods, and efficiency to support the healthcare services within the hospital's various departments.
- Good opportunities for long-term development within the HR profession and the chance to contribute to hospital-wide development and improvement work within HR.
Of course, you will also benefit from our general benefits that Karolinska University Hospital offers you.
About the position
Karolinska University Hospital is one of Europe's largest university hospitals with approximately 16,000 employees. The HR department consists of several different support functions, including operational HR partners, HR support, recruitment, and specialist functions.
As an operational HR partner at Karolinska University Hospital, you are an integral part of the operations and work closely with the managers and management teams you support. Together with the managers in the healthcare operations you are responsible for, you will drive continuous improvement work in line with our vision: We will cure and relieve tomorrow what no one can cure and relieve today.
Your mission encompasses the entire HR area. The role includes driving change and improvement initiatives together with the operations and contributing to the development of HR processes and methods.
The pace of work is sometimes high, and the role involves managing several parallel issues and projects that need to be driven, structured, and followed up. As an HR partner with us, you operate in a business that runs around the clock, where conditions can change rapidly, and new needs may arise at short notice. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be flexible, able to prioritize as needed, and quickly adapt to new conditions.
You will belong to one of Karolinska's HR teams, where HR partners are divided into three clusters. Within the cluster, you will collaborate closely on common issues and projects, while also having good opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration with HR partners in other clusters.
We work in newly built and modern office environments in Solna and Huddinge.
We are looking for someone who
- Is a confident HR generalist who enjoys the breadth of the assignment and balancing operational and strategic work based on the needs of the operations.
- Has the ability to adapt your working methods through flexible problem-solving and clear, trust-building communication – even in challenging situations.
- Has good analytical skills and can quickly familiarize yourself with new issues and contexts.
- Has a development-oriented approach and the ability to identify improvement opportunities and new perspectives to develop both yourself and HR's roles and methods.
- Has the will and drive to initiate and drive development work within HR, both in close collaboration with specific operations and from an organization-wide perspective.
The role involves many contact points, so to thrive, it is important that you enjoy collaborating, are service-oriented, and are willing to share your knowledge.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Academic degree in HR or equivalent work experience
- At least 5 years of experience as an operational HR partner or similar role
- Experience working both operationally and strategically with HR issues
- Good knowledge and practical experience of labor law and union cooperation
- Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Experience from public sector/authority/politically governed organization
Meritorious:
- Previous experience of HR work within healthcare
