About the trainee program:

Our trainee program is aimed at those who have one year left of their studies. The trainee program begins with 2 months of summer internship with us in Huddinge. You will receive an hourly wage and a mentor, and all trainees will, in addition to working in their respective departments, also carry out a joint project together. In the fall, there will likely be an opportunity for continued hourly employment, and in the spring we may be able to collaborate on your thesis? You will gain valuable practical experience from the community building area.

Trainee in the Planning Section: The Planning Section develops programs and detailed plans that regulate how land can be used and built upon, and has the primary task of investigating and planning for the sustainable and attractive living environments of the future and is responsible for balancing different interests in the planning process, with a special responsibility for environmental, cultural heritage, social, and design issues in community building. As a trainee, you will for example assist in the development of detailed plans, review investigations, and participate in the section's development work as well as attend project meetings and meet with construction actors.

Your development with us:

During your time with us, you will be assigned a mentor who supports and helps you in your daily work and helps you build your understanding of the section. At the same time, you have the opportunity to get to know other colleagues. In your role as a trainee, you will follow different phases of projects. About 40% of the time is devoted to the joint project work with other trainees. The remaining part of the time is allocated for tasks within the section.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is starting their final year of studies in urban planning, landscape architecture, physical planning, or architecture. You are expected to graduate in the spring of 2027.

As a Trainee with us, it is important that you are proactive and creative with the ability to collaborate smoothly and sensitively with others. Other important qualities in the role are that you communicate clearly and that you are goal-oriented and curious to learn new things and enjoy making suggestions and ideas in the workgroup. It is important that you are good at expressing yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as the role of trainee involves being in many different contexts with several points of contact.
