Archive Officer at the Supreme Administrative Court

The Supreme Administrative Court is the highest instance for the general administrative courts. Approximately 85 people work at the Supreme Administrative Court. In addition to the justices, there is a head of the secretariat, heads of preparation, a chief administrator, judicial secretaries, preparation lawyers, court administrators, and administrative staff. The premises of the Supreme Administrative Court are beautifully and centrally located in historic buildings on Riddarholmen in Stockholm.

The administrative unit is responsible for the administration of the court by supporting the preparatory and adjudicative activities. The unit is also tasked with providing service to the public. The archive is part of the administrative unit.

Job Description

As an archive officer at the Supreme Administrative Court, you will be offered stimulating and developing tasks in a socially important operation. Together with the court's archivists, you will handle various tasks in the court's archive.

You will take significant personal responsibility regarding the disclosure of public documents to the public, authorities, and other stakeholders. This includes staffing phone hours, answering inquiries via email, and receiving visitors at the reception. In addition, you will work with various archival maintenance tasks such as migrating documents, sorting judgments and decisions, and other administrative tasks that occur in an archive.

Together with other archive staff, you will drive the work forward, participate in reviewing and managing control and routine documents for the court, and ensure that the court complies with applicable laws and regulations.

Since the archive function is part of the administrative unit, other tasks may also become relevant as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in archival science.
• Good computer skills and experience using a computer as a working tool.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked with archival issues in a court or with the disclosure of public documents.

As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, and have good judgment. You adapt easily to new conditions and have a good ability to prioritize among various tasks. You can handle stressful situations and possess a high work capacity. You create good relationships with colleagues and contribute your expertise to the group's collective work. It is also important that you have a pronounced sense of service and quality. You are development-oriented and have the ability to see the big picture and the best interests of the operation.

Employment Scope

Employment type: Permanent position with an initial probationary period of 6 months
