About the trainee program:

Our trainee program is aimed at those who have one year left of their studies. The trainee program begins with 2 months of summer internship with us in Huddinge. You will receive hourly pay and a supervisor, and all trainees will, in addition to working in their respective departments, also carry out a joint project together. In the fall, there is likely to be an opportunity for continued hourly employment, and in the spring, we may be able to collaborate on your thesis? You will gain valuable practical experience in the field of community building.

Trainee for the Building Permit Department: Do you want to help shape a sustainable and well-planned Huddinge? As a trainee in the building permit department, you will work on how our built environments are developed. You will gain insight into the processing of building permits, supervision, and advice, as well as how detailed plans and the Planning and Building Act are implemented in practice. The trainee program gives you a broad understanding of the building process and how the municipality's work contributes to long-term sustainable community development.

Your development with us:

During your time with us, you will be assigned a supervisor who supports and assists you in your daily work and helps you build your understanding of the unit. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to get to know other colleagues. In your role as a trainee, you will follow different phases of projects. Approximately 40% of the time is devoted to the joint project work with other trainees. The remaining time is allocated for tasks within the unit.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is starting their final year of a university program focused on urban planning, building engineering, architectural conservation, or equivalent education. You are expected to graduate in the spring of 2027. As a trainee with us, it is important that you are proactive and creative with the ability to collaborate smoothly and attentively with others. Other important qualities for the role include clear communication, being goal-oriented, and curious to learn new things and enjoy making suggestions and ideas in the workgroup. It is important that you are proficient in expressing yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as the role of trainee involves being in many different contexts with several points of contact.
