About the trainee program:

Our trainee program is aimed at those who have one year left of their studies. The trainee program starts with 2 months of summer internship with us in Huddinge. You will receive an hourly wage and a mentor, and all trainees will, in addition to working in their respective departments, also carry out a joint project together. In the autumn, there is likely to be an opportunity for continued hourly employment, and in the spring, we may be able to collaborate on your thesis? You will gain valuable practical experience from the community building sector.

Trainee for the Geodata Unit

At the Geodata Unit, we work to make geographic information accessible, provide support to users, develop the unit's working methods, administer databases and systems for geodata, and project manage internal development projects and projects aimed at improved geodata management within the municipality. Your focus as a trainee will be on the management, development, and optimization of methods, technology, and data storage for geodata. As a trainee in geodata, you will, for example, investigate and perform processing of geodata and metadata and participate in the daily management of our shared geodata systems together with others in the unit.

Your development with us:

During your time with us, you will be assigned a mentor who supports and assists in daily work and helps you build your understanding of the unit. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to get to know other colleagues. In your role as a trainee, you will follow different phases of projects. About 40% of the time is devoted to the joint project work with other trainees. The remaining time is allocated for tasks within the unit.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is starting their final year of university studies in land surveying technology, geographic IT, or another relevant field. We would like you to enjoy problem-solving. You are expected to graduate in the spring of 2027. As a trainee with us, it is important that you are proactive and creative with the ability to collaborate smoothly and sensitively with others. Other important qualities in the role are that you communicate clearly and that you are goal-oriented and curious to learn new things and enjoy making suggestions and ideas in the workgroup. It is important that you are good at expressing yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as the trainee role involves being in many different contexts with several points of contact.
