Inspector with a focus on social services
Do you want to create societal benefit and safeguard welfare together with knowledgeable colleagues with diverse competencies? The Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) is now seeking an inspector with a focus on social services.
About the job
As an inspector, you will primarily work with supervision of residences where children are placed. This means that you will, in close collaboration with colleagues, plan and conduct inspections of housing with special services for children and care homes (HVB), and supported housing. You will conduct and plan inspections in close cooperation with other colleagues. You will investigate your own cases, analyze documentation, and draft proposals for decisions. Cases are prepared in close collaboration with colleagues and decision-makers. In your work, you will, in addition to contact with children and young people, also be in contact with those responsible for operations as well as staff. Inspections in operations are a large part of the job and involve frequent travel.
IVO is an organization in development and the work area may change based on new assignments and priorities set by the authority. We are constantly developing our methods and working practices, which means that in the role of inspector, you need to be development-oriented and flexible to adapt to changing conditions.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- a university degree in social work or equivalent education deemed relevant by the authority
- several years of current experience in work related to the social services area
- several years of current experience in case management and authority exercise within the social services area
- good knowledge of laws and regulations within the social services area
- good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
- a valid driver's license (B)
To succeed in this role, you should be able to work independently and have a good ability to prioritize and structure multiple tasks simultaneously. You should have strong analytical skills and be able to review and analyze objectively. You are meticulous and structured, but also flexible. Furthermore, you have excellent collaboration skills, are confident in your decisions, and can constructively incorporate and consider others' viewpoints and perspectives. You communicate in a clear and trustworthy manner, both verbally and in writing.
