About the trainee program:

Our trainee program is aimed at those who have one year left of their studies. The trainee program begins with 2 months of summer internship with us in Huddinge. You will receive an hourly wage and a mentor, and all trainees will, in addition to working in their respective departments, also carry out a joint project together. In the autumn, there will likely be an opportunity for continued hourly employment, and in the spring we may be able to collaborate on your thesis? You will gain valuable practical experience in the field of urban development.

Trainee in Strategic Urban Planning:

In our unit, we work both with follow-up and development; we can say that we are both at the beginning and the end of the urban development process. As a trainee in the strategic unit, you will have the opportunity to help plan, develop, and build an ecologically, socially, and economically sustainable society.

Your development with us:

During your time with us, you will be assigned a mentor who supports and assists you in your daily work and helps you build your understanding of the section. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to get to know other colleagues. In your role as a trainee, you will follow various phases of projects. About 40% of your time will be dedicated to the joint project work with other trainees. The remaining time is set aside for tasks within the section.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is starting their final year in a program in urban planning or civil engineering with a relevant focus. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of strategic water planning. You are expected to graduate in the spring of 2027.

You are interested in urban planning and want to learn more about the urban development process in one of Stockholm County's most expansive municipalities. As a trainee with us, it is important that you are proactive and creative with the ability to collaborate smoothly and sensitively with others. Other important traits for the role include clear communication, goal-oriented, and a curiosity to learn new things, as well as being comfortable making suggestions and ideas within the workgroup. It is important that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as the trainee role involves being in many different contexts with several points of contact.
