We are now looking for a highly experienced tester with development skills in C# and .NET for a long-term consulting assignment with a larger organization in critical societal operations. The assignment gives you the opportunity to help build a modern testing strategy and ensure the quality of a new, future traffic management solution with high demands on stability, security, and performance.

You will be part of a newly established agile development team where quality, testability, and rapid releases are in focus.

As a Senior Tester, you have overall responsibility for testing strategy, test design, and quality assurance throughout the development chain. You work closely with developers and project management, combining hands-on testing with the development of automated tests in a modern microservices-based architecture.

You are a key person in the team and actively contribute to shaping working methods, test infrastructure, and quality assurance processes from the ground up.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Planning, designing, developing, and executing component and integration tests for both frontend and backend

• Performing manual, exploratory, and flow-based API and end-to-end tests

• Developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated tests using tools like Cypress and Playwright

• Working according to test-driven development (TDD), including mocking

• Ensuring quality in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar)

• Developing and executing performance, load, and security tests, including tests related to OWASP Top 10

• Testing microservices in container environments (e.g., Docker) as well as systems that use message queues

• Working closely with developers, project management, and other stakeholders to ensure high quality and testability

To be considered for the assignment, you need to have:

• At least 9 years of work experience as a system tester, including planning, design, execution, and reporting of tests

• At least 4 years of experience with automated testing in modern testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent)

• At least 2 years of experience in system development in C# and .NET (within the last 7 years)

• At least 3 years of experience testing microservices in container environments (e.g., Docker)

• At least 2 years of experience in test-driven development (TDD)

• At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance in CI/CD environments

• At least 2 years of experience testing systems that use message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ or equivalent)

• Excellent communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

• Experience with agile working methods, such as Scrum

It is a plus if you also have:

• ISTQB Foundation certification

• Experience with accessibility testing according to WCAG 2.1 AA

• Experience working as a tester in the public sector

• Experience with load and vulnerability testing

The assignment is primarily performed on-site in Stockholm (Kungsholmen). Some possibility for remote work exists after agreement and based on the needs of the organization.
