The Disability Unit is part of the Department for Support, Service, and Care.
The unit targets individuals with various forms of disabilities. We are now looking for a temporary assistance officer to cover for a colleague on parental leave. The unit also employs a contact secretary and is led by a unit manager.
We are located at the administration's office in Björkhagen, right next to the Björkhagen subway station.

Your role
As an assistance officer, you will have an important and meaningful job ahead of you, where you meet citizens applying for support and assistance to function in their daily lives. You will investigate, assess, and decide on interventions according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). You need to be able to independently plan and follow up on your work while the position requires high collaboration skills with internal and external contacts.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who works independently, is structured, and has a good ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Documentation and investigation are central parts of the job, requiring good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as experience in documentation within social services. You contribute to a good collaborative climate, have a problem-solving approach, and prioritize the best interests of the organization.
The skills and experience we are looking for are:
- Degree in Social Work
- Experience in public authority operations
- Experience with the target group of disabilities
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation such as SoL and LSS
Particularly meritorious is experience working in Stockholm's municipal operational system, Paraplyet, and with neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities.
