About the role

Do you want to use your experience to make a real difference?

Nuclear power is a stable foundation for Sweden's fossil-free energy future. To ensure the operation of our facilities, we are looking for someone with extensive experience in electrical power or process industry – who wants to use their expertise where it truly makes a difference.

Welcome to the Nuclear Engineering Excellence Program – a program for those who want to contribute their knowledge in an industry where safety, security, and sustainability are at the core.

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in electrical power and/or automation/I&C (Instrumentation and Control) who wants to further develop in a vital industry.

With us, you will use your skills from day one while broadening your knowledge of nuclear technology and safety work. You will be employed in our engineering or maintenance department and participate simultaneously in a tailored development program over 12 months, alongside other experienced engineers. Throughout the program, you will get to know the facility, our working methods, and the safety culture that permeates everything we do.

We hope you meet most of the requirements below and complement them with your strengths – we will help you develop the rest through the program. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we encourage more female applicants to achieve a more balanced gender distribution in the workplace.

The electrical power program gives you the opportunity to contribute to Sweden's fossil-free energy future and become an important part of a team where your experience truly makes a difference.

The program offers you:

  • A solid foundation in nuclear technology and safety, with training in facility knowledge, system dynamics, radiation protection, physical protection, and IT security.
  • Practical experience through rotation and internships, where you gain insight into operations, outer areas, and various technical units.
  • Simulation training and on-the-job learning, providing you with an understanding of daily routines and technical challenges.
  • Reflection and personal development plan, where you receive support to identify your goals and pathways forward.
  • Collaboration and contact points with the entire organization – you become part of a larger context.

We work with proven technology, clear processes, and a strong safety mindset. Here, we need you to understand what it means to take responsibility in technically complex environments and to contribute to a safe and sustainable energy future.

Welcome to a program that builds on your skills and opens the door to a new career in nuclear power!

Your responsibilities

You will play a key role in maintaining operational safety in one of Sweden's most critical energy facilities.

In this role, you will be an important part of a team that develops and improves our technical processes together. You will monitor facility status in maintenance systems, plan and coordinate various activities within maintenance and assembly. You will contribute both to daily operations and long-term projects aimed at improving the business further. You will also be involved in technical investigations, risk analyses, and upgrades, and provide documentation that helps us make informed decisions and plan ahead.

You will work closely with colleagues in operations, maintenance, and engineering. You will also have regular contact with external suppliers and partners. In meetings, you will contribute by evaluating, providing feedback, and reporting incidents, and in some cases, share your knowledge as an internal instructor in your area of responsibility. Together with others, you will create conditions for a safe, efficient, and sustainable operation.

This is a role for you who thrives on responsibility, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and wants to use your experience where it truly makes a difference.

Security, responsibility, and meaning in everyday life

With us, you will have a stable workplace where your experience is valued. You will become part of a team where knowledge is shared, where safety comes first, and where you will work with technology that works – and that will be needed for many years to come.
