HR Generalist at the Swedish Armed Forces

About the Unit

The Regimental Staff K 3 consists of approximately 40 employees, half of whom are professional officers and half are civilian employees. The staff supports the regimental commander and other leaders at the regiment with coordination and follow-up, and provides expert support in a range of different areas of expertise. The staff, led by the Chief of Staff, is organized into nine sections, where you as an HR Generalist belong to G1, the HR section. At the HR section/G1, generalists and specialists work to support the regiment in strategic and operational HR services. The section is led by the HR Manager/C G1 and the Deputy HR Manager. One of our HR Generalists is moving on to new challenges within the Swedish Armed Forces, and we are now looking for a new wonderful colleague to join our team!

Main Responsibilities

As an HR Generalist, you will provide consultative HR support to the regiment's leaders in several HR processes. You will assist in matters concerning labor law, recruitment, onboarding, competence and personnel supply, contractual issues, etc. The position also includes responsibility for supporting one of K 3's various units. The daily work consists of a combination of administrative tasks as well as development, improvement work, and follow-up of processes within your area of responsibility. Collaboration with other parts of the Swedish Armed Forces occurs regularly.

REQUIREMENTS Qualifications

  • Academic degree in HR/Human Resource Management or other education/work experience deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Experience in HR work
  • Good computer skills and very good ability to handle Office programs
  • Good administrative ability
  • Good knowledge of expressing oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • Driving license B (manual transmission)

To succeed in the role of HR Generalist, we believe you are a team player who understands that HR is one of several functions that together drive and develop the organization. To capture the organization's needs, the HR function works closely with operations, and we see that you are a good communicator and relationship builder. You have the ability to take initiative and drive processes for the development of the function and the regiment.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in HR work within the Swedish Armed Forces or another government agency
  • Good knowledge in the area of labor law
  • Experience in leading and coordinating projects
