As an AML / Compliance Officer, you will…

Work on identifying, investigating, and assessing compliance risks, as well as continuously monitoring and following up on regulatory compliance in the organization. You will inform about and work on implementing new/changed laws, regulations, industry rules, and internal policies. This includes developing the company's internal governing documents (guidelines). The role also includes preparing reports for management and headquarters, as well as participating in regulatory projects or projects launched by headquarters.

You will work on issues related to financial security, such as preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and financial sanctions. Your ongoing tasks will therefore include providing advice and support to the organization on issues related to financial security and continuously monitoring the organization's regulatory compliance. You will work on reporting (internal and external), conduct risk assessments, and be involved in the development of policies and instructions. You will also hold the role of Central Functional Responsible (CFA).

In your role, you will inform and educate the organization, support the implementation of new or changed regulations, and participate in projects in the area.

You will belong to the Compliance function, whose main mission is to support BNP Paribas Cardif's Nordic operations in regulatory compliance issues. Currently, there are two people in this function: Head of Compliance and AML Officer. Due to parental leave, we are now looking for an AML Officer.

You enjoy working independently as well as in close collaboration and dialogue with your colleagues. Since the role involves being a supportive function to the organization in compliance and financial security matters, we place great value on your ability to communicate complex issues to the environment in a simple and pedagogical way.

Our requirements for you:

We are looking for someone with a legal or other relevant academic background and a few years of work experience in the finance or auditing industry. Ideally, you have experience reading and interpreting regulations and have good knowledge of regulatory issues. Previous experience in internal governance and control in the area of money laundering and compliance-related matters is an advantage. For the role, you must be able to communicate fluently both verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
