The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who collectively work to develop and take care of the operation - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
From the autumn term of 2021, the organization of our primary schools in Gothenburg City changed. We increased the number of leadership positions so that we can create sustainable school leadership teams with a principal and vice-principal. The new organization is intended to provide us with good conditions for creating an equitable school with high-quality teaching. In the new organization, we form school areas with one or more school units and common leadership teams. The leadership teams will give the schools the opportunity for increased collaboration and the possibility of becoming strong together. School area 20 in the Southwest consists of the following five schools: Deaf and Hearing F-9, Kannebäck, Adapted Primary School 1-9, Kannebäck Resource School 1-9, Kannebäck Ängåsskolan F-6, and Vättnedalsskolan F-6.
In the Southwest 20, about 300 employees work. The management group consists of one principal and seven vice-principals. There are 4 administrators in the school area.
We are now looking for an administrator based at Resource School 1-9, Kannebäck. The position is a temporary contract until December 2025 with the possibility of extension.
In the role of administrator, you will be responsible for student, staff, and financial administration as well as other tasks in the operation, both practical and administrative. You will act as support to the school management, teachers, guardians, and students. You will also be responsible for substitute procurement.
You anticipate needs before they arise and respond/manage situations appropriately - whether it involves handling invoices or assisting guardians with various inquiries. You ensure that most things run smoothly, from providing support to principals to ensuring that teachers submit assessment materials on time.
QUALIFICATIONS
For the position, a high school education and previous experience in administrative work are required. If you have post-secondary education in administration, it is an advantage. Knowledge and experience in scheduling with NovaSchem and experience working with Skola24 are also advantageous. Previous experience in similar roles in public service, preferably in the education sector, is also a plus. Furthermore, experience working with IST, Stratsys, and Vklass is also advantageous.
You are social, flexible, and create a good atmosphere. You are responsible and drive processes forward in consultation with the school's leadership team. You have an independent role that requires you to take your own initiatives, structure your work, and prioritize among your tasks.
