The Administrative Court in Gothenburg is one of Sweden's largest courts with approximately 280 employees. Our primary task is to resolve disputes between individuals and authorities. The Administrative Court is also one of the country's four migration courts.

The court currently has six adjudicating departments, each focusing on one of the major areas of law: tax law or social insurance law. Additionally, all adjudicating departments work with migration cases. The case management units and the unit for registration and archives constitute the court's case administrative department. The court also has an administrative department consisting of the unit for administrative secretariat and the unit for IT, security, and service.

Responsibilities

As a summer law clerk, you will practice applying your theoretical knowledge through qualified practical legal work. You will have the opportunity to develop your ability to identify and analyze legal problems and to express yourself in both speech and writing. You will conduct legal investigations, participate in oral hearings, and write proposals for judgments and decisions. You will work under the guidance of an experienced lawyer.

Qualifications

You have successfully completed at least five semesters of the law program and, at the time of application, have completed at least the equivalent of 150 credits of the courses in the program. You should not have completed your education before August 2025.

You have good grades from completed parts of the education and are skilled at expressing yourself both in writing and orally. We are looking for someone who is responsible, engaged, and meticulous, and who has good analytical skills and sound judgment.

To be employed with us, you need to be deemed suitable. This means that you uphold democratic values and the state value base that governs the operations of the Swedish courts. We also require that you comply with Swedish laws.

Other

To be considered for the position, you need to be available to start in week 24 and be able to work for at least 8 weeks. The employment period is 8–11 weeks according to agreement. With your application, you need to attach your transcript from the law program, CV, and a personal letter.
