JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, children with various functional variations reside. Our short-term and children's accommodation is growing, and we need new colleagues for our existing, excellent work group. We are looking for support assistants for day and night shifts. We are also looking for someone who feels they can engage in our new camping activities one weekend a month and work with other children and youth in the short-term accommodation for the rest of the working time.

As a support assistant, your tasks include providing careful care and support to children living in our children's accommodation, collaborating with guardians, other colleagues, schools, habilitation, home healthcare, and other internal and external actors. The work includes handling medication, various aids such as respiratory and mobility aids. Various rehabilitative interventions in the form of light training are also part of the daily work.

Your task is to participate in fulfilling the goals of the LSS plan regarding self-determination, participation, and integrity for the individual user. You perform everyday and planned support interventions based on the user's individual needs and wishes in accordance with LSS. Examples of tools for this include establishing implementation plans, other documentation, and evidence-based methods. You should contribute to creating a meaningful and safe stay where the activities are shaped according to the users' specific strengths, interests, and needs.

Our goal is to provide the best care and support in a safe environment with a focus on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and IBIC. You work together with your colleagues to provide support in such a way that it strengthens the individual's confidence in their abilities. The tasks include providing individual support, service, and care based on each individual's needs according to the implementation plan. The work includes both practical tasks and social documentation, handling medication, respiratory, and mobility aids. Some of the positions will primarily be in the children's accommodation with a certain percentage in the short-term accommodation. Night shifts will be in the entire children's operation.

Scope: 75-100%. We are looking for both permanent employees and temporary positions.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a support assistant, you need to have education at the equivalent of high school level, primarily in care with competence in health and social care, or alternatively, other education aimed at LSS operations that the employer assesses as equivalent. You should have experience and a strong interest in working with children and youth with various functional variations.

Other competencies: It is an advantage to have worked with children with various functional variations and delegated tasks. You are secure and stable with good collaboration and communication skills, can motivate and respond in a low-affect manner. A plus is if you master AAC and have special interests, e.g., music, nature, sports, art.
