Essunga municipality is looking for an engaged social worker for Children and Youth

Description: Essunga municipality is looking for an engaged social worker for the operational area of Children and Youth within our Social sector.

The social sector in the municipality is divided into three operational areas – Individual and Family, Functional Support, and Elderly. The area of Individual and Family includes financial assistance, adult cases, children and youth, assistance assessment for the elderly and LSS, AME, and outpatient care. Our driving force is to work for the best interests of children, and we are constantly striving to develop further. Responsibilities:

As a social worker in Children and Youth, you have a responsible assignment with the child at the center. Based on the needs of the small organization, you will work with all aspects of authority, and your main tasks will include handling applications and reports, conducting preliminary assessments, carrying out qualified investigations, and following up on approved interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). We work with the method Collaboration for Safety, use BBIC (Child's Needs in Focus), and document in the operational system Lifecare.

The unit has great knowledge and experience, and we share and support each other collegially.

With us, you work in a positive and stimulating environment with a healthy workload. The Children and Youth group consists of three social workers, and you will receive support in handling from administrative staff, operational developers, and knowledgeable colleagues.

The tasks may be adjusted over time according to the needs of the operations. We also offer the possibility of remote work and the opportunity to study up to 10% of the working hours.

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has equivalent education. Previous experience in authority within social services is advantageous. We also see that you have good computer skills and hold a B driver's license.
