JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you interested in working as a support assistant in a group home characterized by good cooperation with colleagues and a focus on the needs of the users? Then you have found the right place!

We are looking for support assistants for Melongatan 199, which is a residence for people with various disabilities.

Your tasks include providing individually tailored support, good service, and care to those we are here for. It is important that we focus on the individual user. With us, you will meet many different people and see them develop, and through these meetings, you will also develop as a person. Together we make a difference, and our work is important.

The work involves varied tasks such as pedagogical support in everyday life, personal care, and common household tasks. You will actively work together in the team with social documentation and follow-up regarding these. You will also be part of the work to ensure the quality of our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant education, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 vocational training points, 120 university credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Experience in care work is a requirement for the position. If you also have experience working in support services, it is an advantage. Communication is an important part of the job, which requires you to master Swedish in both spoken and written form. Computer skills are desirable.

We are looking for someone who adapts their communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation. You listen to other people to understand their needs. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different recipients and from different perspectives. You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You work effectively under stress, can balance different demands, and remain calm in difficult situations.
