Social Worker at Lotsen, Children and Youth

At Lotsen, Children and Youth, we have upcoming parental leave and are now looking for a social worker for a permanent position who wants to work in the investigation group.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

At Lotsen, there is an investigation group and a placement group that handle cases according to SoL and LVU. The investigation group, which also includes reception and outpatient care, consists of ten social workers, and the placement group consists of nine social workers. Attached to the workgroups are senior social workers.

The groups are characterized by great commitment, humor, and professionalism. Together we drive work that makes a difference for the children, youth, and families we meet. You will come to a workplace that is open to your ideas!

As a social worker in the investigation group, you will receive cases from the reception group and continue the work with:

• Investigation of children's needs and parents' abilities.
• Collaboration with schools, police, BUP, and other actors around the child.
• Tailoring solutions for families.

As a social worker in the placement group, you will work with:

• Following up on the measures that have been granted for children and youth and their families.
• Collaboration with schools, police, BUP, and other actors around the child.
• Tailoring solutions for families.

We place great importance on collaboration with parents and networks, and we have strengthened our outpatient care to better find home-based solutions. Additionally, preventive work has been expanded.

At the Children and Youth Unit in Mariestad Municipality, we actively work for close collaboration with nearby activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the positions, we are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained social worker
• Holds a B driver's license

We see that you who apply are flexible and creative to adapt to meetings, situations, and unpredictable days. Since the work involves interaction with many actors, we also see that you have good collaboration skills and communication abilities. To ensure a legally secure handling, it is also important that you are responsible with a good ability to structure your work.

If you thrive on shorter contacts, meeting deadlines, and can quickly adjust in your work, the investigation group may be the right workplace for you!

Previous work experience from social services and authority handling for children and youth is meritorious.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability and good references.

What can we offer you?

At Lotsen, you will get your own office and a pleasant workplace where we in the workgroup have a common Friday breakfast and often coordinate lunch training. We have Monday meetings where we go through the week and have set aside time for documentation on Wednesdays.

You will receive guidance and support internally from colleagues and senior social workers. We also meet collectively once a month for external supervision at the Residenset in Mariestad. As an employee within social services, you have both flexible working hours and the possibility of vacation exchange. You will also be offered continuous professional development initiatives, e.g., through the Professional Journey and other training planned by the unit.

Health promotion grants will also be introduced in 2025.
