Who am I?

I am a happy and positive 17-year-old boy who lives every other week in Utby (eastern Gothenburg) and every other week on Grötö and has personal assistance. Now I need someone to work as a substitute in my assistant group, a substitute who can step in either in Utby or on Grötö - or at both locations. I have personal assistance mainly due to autism, so you as an assistant help me get started and take me out to various activities. I can do quite a bit on my own, but I still need your help and guidance in many moments such as during meals, hygiene, dressing, and undressing, etc. I understand everything you say, but I cannot speak myself; however, I can sign Yes and No, and you need to be able to interpret my various sounds and signals. I have many interests. I enjoy listening to music, swimming, taking the bus, visiting the library and the garden association, and of course, riding roller coasters! Furthermore, I am great at reading maps and bus schedules!

Who are you?

It doesn't matter much what age you are or if you are male or female; the most important thing is that you, just like me, enjoy being active! You need to be in decent physical shape since things can sometimes move quickly. It is an advantage if you have previous experience with autism or have some knowledge about it. However, I am not aggressive. There is an (automatic) car here that we can use, so it is a plus if you have a driver's license. Since we have a dog in Utby and a cat on Grötö, you should not be allergic or afraid of animals.

What can a work shift look like?

During weekdays, you start your shift and meet me in the city when I finish school. We take a taxi home together, and then we eat together. Maybe we take an outing using public transport and try a new bus line, or we go to the garden association for a coffee, or why not take a trip to the library? The shift ends at my home in Utby/Grötö.

Scope/Setup:

Work scope: extra as needed
Shifts are on Mon, Wed, and Fri from about 14:00 to 20:00. There is also the possibility of working some weekends.

The working hours vary somewhat depending on whether you step in and work in Utby or Grötö.
