1st Social Worker for Lotsen Children and Youth in Mariestad

At Lotsen Children and Youth, located near the hospital in Mariestad, we currently have one 1st social worker in the placement group, which also includes family home social workers. We are now looking for another 1st social worker connected to the investigation group, which also includes reception and our outpatient care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the social services of Mariestad municipality, there is a continuous improvement effort to provide the best possible support for our clients. We have expanded with more positions as 1st social workers within adult services, and the goal is to form a "1st group" in the municipality with close collaboration on common issues. In addition, there is a 1st network within children and youth in Skaraborg with regular meetings throughout the year.

At Lotsen, there is an investigation group and a placement group that handle cases according to SoL and LVU. The investigation group consists of ten social workers, and the placement group consists of nine social workers. Together, we drive work that makes a difference for the children, youth, and families we meet!

As a 1st social worker, you have the operational responsibility to lead and distribute the daily work. You are responsible for holding group meetings, individual check-ins, and case supervision. The role also includes representing the board in court. An important part of the work is environmental monitoring, where you create and revise guidelines and procedures based on changes in laws that govern public authority.

Since the position involves close supervision, it will require you to be present to a large extent.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the position of 1st social worker, we are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained social worker with many years of experience in children and youth, public authority.
• Has leadership experience.
• Holds a B driver's license.

Meritorious are training initiatives in methods related to the children and youth unit and being a BBIC trainer.

Since the work largely involves supervision and method development, it is required that you have a good ability to both convey information, teach methods, and strengthen employees' competencies. You do this in an inspiring and motivating way.

As a 1st social worker, you will handle acute situations where you are expected to prioritize and delegate based on the laws and regulations that govern our operations. We see that you, as an applicant, have a good structure in your work and are flexible and creative to adapt to meetings, situations, and unpredictable days.

The work involves many contacts both internally and externally, so we see that you value good collaboration and are team-oriented.
