IT Consultant at Eskilstuna Municipality

Then we have a developing and fun job to offer! We are expanding our team with an IT consultant and are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of the ITIL framework.

The Service Administration is responsible for the operation, support, and further development of Eskilstuna Municipality's IT platform. We help our customers develop their IT environment. IT Operations and Support work with user support as well as the operation of servers, clients, networks, and integration.

We are in a growth phase while preparing for the future of IT solutions and digitalization. We currently offer an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic team with skilled colleagues working with cutting-edge technology. Currently, we are about 55 people divided into two teams: Operations and Support.

We in the IT unit provide technical support and assist the organization in IT procurements, development projects, and operations. We work closely with our users and always start from their needs to create a safe and stable IT environment in the municipality. Our office is located at Nygatan 11, centrally in Eskilstuna.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will create and describe the processes within the ITIL framework and take ownership of the processes by ensuring they are well documented. You will drive the continuous improvement of the processes and anchor them within IT as well as in the organization's operations. You will create training materials, train your colleagues in the processes, and follow up operationally to ensure compliance. As a team member, you need to have strong collaboration skills while also being able to work independently as you drive your own work forward. You will work with delivery follow-ups, incident analyses, and trends. The role also involves working with incidents, major incident management, escalations, and developing change, establishing, releasing, and creating reports/dashboards.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with at least a high school diploma, preferably a post-secondary vocational education in IT or technology, and a B driver's license. To succeed in this role, you should have experience and excellent knowledge of the ITIL framework, general IT knowledge, coordination skills, and experience with IT service management tools and processes such as incidents, changes, and improvements. You need to be proactive, have good communication skills, and be fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. We prefer candidates who are ITIL certified, have experience with agile working methods, customer-facing roles, and team leadership.
