Information Security Coordinator

As an Information Security Coordinator, you will be placed in the Digitalization Unit, which is part of the Central Functions of the Department of Education and Child Care. The unit consists of six employees with different roles and competencies in development, management, and learning.

In this role, you will contribute to creating good conditions for our preschools and schools to work correctly and easily with information security. Together with your colleagues, you will become an important part of the organizational development where digitalization is a central tool for improving and streamlining the municipality's work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Information Security Coordinator, you have a central role in strengthening and developing the department's processes for information security and data protection. You work in both a strategic and operational role, ensuring that the handling of personal data and information is in accordance with the municipality's governing documents and legislation, along with all associated documentation requirements.

The role primarily involves:

• monitoring, supporting, and advising operations and employees regarding information security and the processing of personal data to ensure compliance with the municipality's guidelines, the new cybersecurity law, and GDPR.
• implementing, following up, and developing and updating policies, guidelines, and routines.
• conducting and supporting risk analyses, impact assessments, classifications, and managing personal data, cybersecurity, and information security incidents.
• ensuring that the organization's employees are kept updated through ongoing support and training initiatives in information security and data protection.

In this role, you collaborate with the municipality's various central functions for data protection and information security across different departments and are also part of the municipality-wide network for information security. You are the department's contact person for issues related to the area. In your role, you ensure a high level of information security throughout the organization.

You report to the management of the department as needed and also to the municipality's data protection officer.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are now looking for someone who, through good pedagogical skills, can make complex issues in the field understandable for those who do not work with these matters daily. Through clarity, you create security and conditions for engagement and participation within the operational area of the department. You thrive in building relationships, and collaborating and cooperating come easily to you. You have strong confidence in your own competence, and with independence, humility, analytical ability, and solution focus, you work towards set goals where you plan, structure, and always consider the whole.

You have a relevant academic degree for the assignment, such as IT, information security, law, or other specific training for the position that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with information security, data protection/GDPR, and possess good IT skills. You are comfortable and experienced in conducting training and presentations for both small and large groups. If you also have knowledge of ISO27001 and ISO/IEC 42001, that is a significant plus.
