IT Technician Wanted at Eskilstuna Municipality

The IT department of the Service Administration is responsible for the operation, support, and further development of Eskilstuna Municipality's IT platform. We help our customers develop their IT environment. IT Support works to resolve IT-related incidents that have occurred within the organization of Eskilstuna Municipality.

At IT Support, there is a wonderful team of 25 competent and engaged colleagues based in central Eskilstuna. RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT technician, you are the first IT contact for employees within Eskilstuna Municipality. You assist users with IT support via phone, remote access, in customer reception, and on-site. The work is varied and focuses on providing quality support. You play an important role with many contacts and work closely with users to solve their IT problems.

You work proactively and document your work in cases and knowledge articles, which simplify for both colleagues and users. You provide advice and support regarding IT equipment and collaborate with specialists and other functions within IT and other parts of the municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with at least a few years of experience in IT work and support. You have good experience in troubleshooting and structured problem-solving, and you naturally work with documentation. The role involves some work in the field, which makes a B driver's license a requirement. We work according to ITIL, and experience in ITIL roles is an advantage. Post-secondary education in IT or technology is also a plus.

To succeed in this role, you need to thrive in a daily environment where both pace and complexity vary. You easily adapt your support to the user's needs, maintain a clear service focus, and actively contribute to good collaboration within the team. An interest in keeping up with developments in IT and technology is seen as a natural part of the role.
