“I have always loved helping others and the entire role is about, in one way or another, facilitating for both patients and hospital staff.
Even though it is a role primarily focused on documentation and administration, it involves varied tasks that have both challenged and developed me as a person. I also feel that I am doing important work in patient care. If records are not written, referrals are not sent, or follow-up appointments are not booked, patient care comes to a halt. We all do important work for the patient.”
This is how one of our employees describes what it is like to work as a healthcare administrator in Region Östergötland.
