Description

Operational area M1 is one of Skaraborg Hospital's 14 operational areas and consists of Medicine Skövde and Neuro/Rehab SkaS.

Operational area M1 includes internal medicine including hematology, lung medicine, stroke care, neurology, rehabilitation medicine, and rheumatology. Within the operational area, over 400 employees work as nursing assistants, nurses, medical secretaries, doctors, occupational and physiotherapists, dietitians, psychologists, and social workers. The turnover is approximately 430 million SEK, and the management group consists of about 15 managers, including the operational manager.

About the position

Welcome to help develop care in operational area 7!

Common tasks as a quality coordinator include patient safety work, quality work, follow-up, and analysis. As a quality coordinator, you will work closely with the operational manager. The operational area consists of AVA - acute care department, hematology, lung medicine, and medical outpatient clinic. Neurology, rehabilitation medicine, rheumatology, stroke care, sleep medicine, and a medical and administrative unit.

We are looking for someone who has good judgment and ability in statements and actions, and who enjoys working both practically and strategically.

Tasks

  • To collaborate with the operational manager and management in improvement and development work and to support managers. You analyze results and data and present results in an educational manner.
  • To develop person-centered and value-creating care of good quality.
  • Support improvement and development work, ensure compliance with routines and regulations. You act as a resource by following up on adherence to routines in daily work.
  • Collaborate with managers and employees as well as other healthcare professionals to develop care. You create good relationships between different professional groups, promote experience exchange, and work for an open climate where improvement suggestions and ideas are valued.
  • You actively work to spread good examples within the operational area and encourage a learning approach where continuous improvements are a natural part of everyday life.
  • Initiate and drive training efforts around quality and patient safety. You work to strengthen competence in the field of patient safety and contribute to increasing engagement in quality issues.
  • Participate in and contribute to internal and external networks within quality and improvement work, and keep yourself updated on current legal requirements and recommendations that affect the operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with appropriate education for the assignment; experience from the healthcare sector is meritorious, and education in quality and improvement knowledge is desirable. You have a good ability to balance between a supportive and a more scrutinizing role. As a quality coordinator, you have a good ability to work independently while being communicative and pedagogical to support managers and employees in the development of care. As a quality coordinator, you report directly to the operational manager. We place great importance on personal suitability.
