About the workplace
The Collaborative Guardianship Authority is organizationally placed within the municipal management office.
The unit also includes budget and debt counseling.
The Guardianship Authority is a supervisory authority whose main task is to supervise representatives. This is done partly by reviewing the accounting documents that they must submit to the authority and partly because certain administrative actions require consent from the Guardianship Authority. The Guardianship Authority's task is also to recruit and train guardians and curators. We offer an important and developing job with interesting, varied, and challenging tasks. You will be part of an engaged team that supports each other and shares knowledge with each other.
The office is located in premises in central Uddevalla. Good commuting opportunities with a few minutes' walk from Uddevalla central station and Kampenhof bus station.
Job responsibilities
Do you want to make a difference and contribute to legal security for people in vulnerable life situations? Uddevalla municipality is looking for an engaged employee for the Collaborative Guardianship Authority.
Your main tasks will be to:
- independently be responsible for the work of recruiting guardians and curators (representatives)
- inform and train new representatives
- be responsible for marketing the role of representatives in various contexts
- review the reports that representatives submit annually
The Guardianship Authority uses the recruitment tool Recruto, and it will be part of your assignment to be responsible for contact with guardians and curators through this channel. You should be able to gather information about the case in the authority's operational system before contacting potential representatives, which largely occurs by phone. You will be responsible for marketing the role of guardian and curator in various contexts, and it will be part of the job to participate in the training sessions organized by the Guardianship Authority, which includes speaking in front of a group.
In addition to recruitment work, part of your position will involve reviewing the representatives' accounting documents, so it is important that you enjoy working with numbers. Some administrative tasks may also be relevant.
Who are we looking for
- You need to be structured and have the ability to independently plan your work
- Since your work will largely involve contacts with representatives, you need to have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and be able to easily establish contacts
- In the organization, employees collaborate with each other to ensure that the processing is carried out in a legally secure and uniform manner, and to develop it. Therefore, it is essential that you have good collaboration skills
Qualifications
- You have an academic education, preferably in communication, behavioral science, economics, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience from another guardianship operation
- Experience working with authority exercise and understanding how it is to work in a regulated environment
- Experience in recruitment, training, or a similar role
