Make a Difference. Every Day.
Here you have the opportunity to work with high-quality financial work where you engage broadly with clinical operations.
The Finance Department is looking for a controller who will work very closely with the hospital's operations. Our primary focus is to provide professional operational financial support to the hospital's managers. We support the operations in terms of follow-up, budgeting, and analysis with a focus on financial and operational management. We work to fulfill Skåne University Hospital's (Sus) vision of the best possible health at all stages of life.
RESPONSIBILITIES
One of our experienced colleagues is retiring, and we are now looking for a new colleague who wants to work closely with operations.
As a controller with an operational focus, your placement will be in one of our operational areas where you will work closely with the operations manager, HR partner, and business developer. You will have both an operational and a strategic role and are expected to be an active member of the management team. You will work on-site in the operational area, which can be in both Lund and Malmö.
In your work, you will use data from accounting and reporting as well as information from other sources such as personnel systems, production systems, and data collected separately. Analyzing this data requires good knowledge of data systems and strong analytical skills. The role includes writing reports, leading projects, and presenting financial information. The focus of the work is on the operation's finances, follow-up, budgeting, and analysis with a focus on financial and operational management. In this work, you will support the operation's managers, including the operations manager, section managers, area managers, and unit managers.
In addition to the direct work with the operational area, you are expected to be involved and engaged in the Finance Department's efforts to improve operational support to Sus managers. There is also an opportunity to participate in hospital-wide projects and be involved in various development areas related to financial, staffing, and production management.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome applicants with a university degree in finance or equivalent education. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of various data systems. To succeed in this role, we see that you have experience in qualified financial management work in a larger organization, preferably in a politically governed organization. It is also an advantage if you have previously worked in or closely with a management team. Experience with the systems Raindance and Qlik Sense is also a merit.
You who apply for the position are responsible and deliver results within the set time. Strong analytical skills are essential. Furthermore, you are willing to take initiative, seek information, and assist the operational area in making decisions. It is also important that you have a good ability to work independently and actively participate in structuring, planning, and executing tasks with your own drive. Since you will have many different contacts in your work, it helps if you enjoy networking and thrive in an outgoing role. We also value a pedagogical ability as the work is done in close collaboration with individuals without a background in finance. Personal suitability will be highly valued.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on January 28th and 29th.
Warm welcome with your application!
