Culture and leisure in Sjöbo municipality consists of general culture, public libraries, cultural schools, and cultural activities for children and youth in preschool and school. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a child and youth culture developer, you have a key role in the municipality's work to develop the area of culture for children and youth. Youth participation is a central part of the development of the operations. You are responsible for the municipality's cultural track for children and youth and for cultural programs within the framework of creative schools.

Your work includes everything from coordination, planning, booking, and organizing to the practical implementation of various activities in collaboration with cultural institutions in Sjöbo as well as with children and youth.

The position involves seeking and coordinating external funding for Creative School projects, as well as writing and reporting applications for other projects aimed at cultural activities. You will be part of or responsible for various projects, working groups, and networks both locally and regionally. You work closely with libraries, cultural schools, and general culture in the municipality, and also have schools and preschools as close partners.

The position also includes being responsible for and driving the development of Culturecrew together with the municipality's youth. Social media is a forum where we can most easily reach young people, so you should be at the forefront of communication in this forum. You will also work to capture children's and youth's ideas and spark new interests in cultural activities throughout the municipality, with a particular focus on holiday activities. Your work includes being strategically responsible for communication for culture and leisure.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with at least an academic education in culture, pedagogy, or another area deemed equivalent by the employer. You should have previous work experience in operational and strategic work within the cultural field. We are looking for someone with broad experience and knowledge in the cultural field as well as knowledge of civil society and its actors. We place great importance on your ability to collaborate, being structured, communicative, and having good self-confidence. You are flexible and can handle many different tasks in a day. It is important that you thrive in a fast-paced work environment and that you are enthusiastic and proactive. We would like you to have a good understanding of cultural policy and networks within the cultural field focusing on children and youth.

You are enthusiastic and pedagogical, have driven development work, and know what it means to be a process leader and to lead projects. For the position, good language and communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required. You express yourself clearly and can adapt your language to different situations and target groups. You have the ability to write clearly, concisely, and well-structured, and can adapt your texts. Experience with grant applications is a requirement, as well as experience in writing plans and investigations of various kinds within the cultural field.

You have the ability to analyze carefully to draw well-thought-out conclusions and to create functioning solutions and effective working methods. You are a structured and flexible person who adapts to different situations and working methods, with the ability to see what needs to be prioritized and are efficient in using resources to achieve results in the best possible way. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, creative, and flexible and has a good ability to organize and carry out activities from idea to action.

You have a good understanding of children and youth culture; it is an advantage if you have completed a child rights strategist training.

We are looking for someone who has worked with similar tasks and is well acquainted with project-oriented work. The requirement is that you should have experience in writing overarching plans and applications for cultural activities.

A driver's license and access to a car are required.
