We are looking for a person to work with the review of annual accounts for the guardianship authority.

The guardianship authority in Lomma currently consists of 6 dedicated employees, and we handle cases for the municipalities of Lomma, Burlöv, Kävlinge, and Staffanstorp. The operation belongs to the administration department within the municipal management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The mission of the guardianship authority is to supervise guardianships, conservatorships, and parental guardianships. This is done, among other things, through annual reviews and by making decisions on consent for various actions that the representatives need to carry out in their assignments. The work is performed by delegation from the guardian. The activities of the guardian and the representatives' assignments are regulated by law.

During January and February, representatives submit a report, called an annual account, for the previous year. In the annual account, the representative reports for the period they have managed a principal's property. The annual account must include a report of the principal's assets and liabilities, income and expenses, and how much has been used for the individual's maintenance or benefit otherwise.

We are now looking for a person who wants to assist the guardianship authority in reviewing annual accounts during the spring. The tasks include preparing for review, examining incoming accounting documents, and requesting additional information from representatives if necessary. The assignment also includes preparing documentation for decisions on fees for representatives.

It is crucial that the review is conducted carefully, is legally correct, and is done as efficiently as possible to prevent legal and financial losses for the principal. A developed routine for review is available to assist you throughout the review process.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree or planned graduation in the summer of 2026, preferably in economics or law. Experience with guardianship issues and reviewing annual accounts is an advantage, as is previous work within public authorities or banks.

As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, and detail-oriented. The review work requires perseverance and an interest in people and numbers. The work also requires that you have very good Swedish in both speech and writing.
