We are now looking for a business developer for the Materials and Production division, focusing on Fossil-Free Energy and Electrification, to help us take the next step in our efforts to support society and industry in these matters.

About the roleAs a Business Developer for Fossil-Free Energy and Electrification, you will be overall responsible for developing the division's initiatives in the area, ensuring delivery capability and collaborations within RISE, and working towards a good positioning in the field.

You will develop the division's network with relevant stakeholders and need owners, as well as drive business and collaborations that benefit the area, focusing on materials and production issues. The work includes contacts with external actors, primarily industry and academia, but also with regions and authorities may occur. You will be responsible for developing relationships with these need owners and stakeholders at strategic, tactical, and operational levels. This includes establishing partnerships, developing collaboration forms, contract negotiations, etc. Equally important is that you effectively secure collaboration within the group and coordinate the division's efforts in the area, from research applications to the development of new services.

You will be part of the Materials and Production division and belong to the Corrosion and Material Durability department, reporting to the department head. In the role of Business Developer for Fossil-Free Energy and Electrification, you will work closely with all departments and marketing managers within the division. Your main task is to ensure progress in the division's strategy in the focus area of Fossil-Free Energy and Electrification.

Within Fossil-Free Energy and Electrification, we drive development with a focus on materials and production issues related to batteries, nuclear power, and hydrogen. We work with the entire value chain for batteries – from production and recycling to mineral extraction. For nuclear power, we contribute to extending the lifespan of existing facilities and creating conditions for new electricity production. In the automotive industry, we develop solutions for the production of drivetrains, electric motors, electric transmissions, and battery packs, with a particular emphasis on circular production models. Additionally, we develop innovative systems for hydrogen production that enable the transition to fossil-free steel production.

The position may be classified in a security class, which means that a security review may be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

Who are you?To succeed in this role, you are an experienced business developer with a strong business focus and solid experience working in matrix organizations, where collaboration, clear communication, and trust-building are crucial for success. The role requires you to combine strategic thinking with operational execution and to enjoy working cross-functionally. You have the ability to drive and develop complex operations in change, where conditions change rapidly and where working in an agile or uncertain state is a natural part of everyday life.

You have good industry knowledge and a clear understanding of the area's development. You have a relevant network within the division's focus and established contacts within the industry, and you find it easy to build trust in both existing and new collaborations.

You have experience working cross-functionally and are used to building strategic networks, developing new solutions, and creating offerings that address complex societal and business challenges. You also have a good understanding of the role of research and research institutes in driving development and innovation in the area.

Requirements for the role:

· MSc in a technical field

· At least 5 years of experience in the role of business developer in a relevant area

· Documented experience in technical sales and business development

· Good experience working with CRM systems and data-driven approaches

· At least 10 years of experience working in matrix organizations, where collaboration across organizational boundaries is a given

· Experience collaborating with researchers and experts in business development

· Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
