Administrator at the Poison Information Centre
At the Medical Products Agency, we make a difference together. In life and for life. We work for the health of people and animals, for a better Sweden today and in the future. Are you a technology-interested, structured, and driven administrator with good collaboration skills? Then you might be the one we are looking for. At the Poison Information Centre in Solna, you will become a key person in an operation that contributes to saving lives – every day.
Our Operations
The Poison Information Centre is a state healthcare provider within the framework of the Medical Products Agency and serves as Sweden's national expert unit for acute poisonings. We provide advice to healthcare and the public around the clock. About 35 pharmacists and seven doctors with high specialist competence work here. As a technically skilled administrator with us, you will be the "spider in the web" for the Poison Information Centre's employees regarding technical everyday issues.
We have a 24/7 telephone advisory service with 300–400 calls per day. The calls are handled by pharmacists and doctors, and all work is conducted via telephone in an office environment, without physical patient contact. In the telephone service, one works at all times of the day, but as an administrator, you only work office hours.
Your Responsibilities
The main task in this role is to provide everyday technical support to the unit's employees, combined with other administrative work. Central IT support and digital assistance are available at the Medical Products Agency in Uppsala, but the Poison Information Centre needs a representative on-site who can support the operation with, among other things, simple technical updates, installation of hardware and software, and phone-related issues.
Examples of tasks:
- Connect computers and computer accessories and perform initial troubleshooting for problems with computers or computer functions.
- Distribute and manage the unit's access cards and be a practical support to the managers related to logistics regarding work equipment during recruitment and termination of services.
- Manage the unit's various alarm systems and maintain contact with the alarm center.
- Participate in collaboration meetings with the Medical Products Agency's units for IT and telephony.
- If necessary, support employees in the processing of incoming cases and assist the operation with other administrative tasks during the absence of other administrators.
- Technical support in the design of the website. If there is an interest in website work, this role can be developed.
With us, you will have a meaningful job where you contribute to societal benefit. You will be part of a well-functioning workgroup, and the work is done in close collaboration with both managers and employees.
Your Background
We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education. Previous experience of administrative tasks with a technical focus is advantageous, as is further education in this area. Previous work with telephony systems and IT operations within pharmaceutical or medically oriented activities is also advantageous. The same applies if you have worked with similar tasks within other government operations. Experience using AI in work is also advantageous.
You should have very good knowledge and skills in MS Office and good experience in understanding and working with various IT tools/systems, such as document management systems. You have a very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
Your Personal Qualities
You are structured, service-oriented, and development-focused, and you find it easy to prioritize and complete tasks on time, even when working in many parallel workflows and the pace is high. To thrive with the tasks, you need to be able to handle variations in both tasks and workload.
You are flexible, collaborate well, and contribute to a good working climate. You are receptive and share knowledge, and you are good at creating and maintaining good relationships and networks.
We place great importance on personal qualities.
