Unit for EU and International Affairs, Ministry of Social Affairs
Do you want to contribute to the coordination and development of EU matters at the Ministry of Social Affairs? Do you have experience working with EU or international issues and have you worked with coordinating tasks? Do you thrive in varied and complex tasks that require your ability to combine expertise with an understanding of the whole? We are now looking for an administrator for a diverse role at the Ministry of Social Affairs' unit for EU and international coordination.

In your role as an EU coordinator at the Unit for EU and International Coordination at the Ministry of Social Affairs, you will work on tasks of varying nature within the unit's areas of work. For example, you will act as a contact person for EU matters within the Ministry's operational area with a focus on health, sports, and youth policy issues, and together with colleagues, you will be responsible for communication with the parliament on these matters. Furthermore, you will prepare materials and participate in, as well as attend, ministerial meetings in the EU and other related incoming and outgoing engagements, trips, and visits that the political leadership has. You will also collaborate closely with the department's subject areas and other ministries and work closely with the councils in Brussels. The role also includes monitoring the department's issues, strategic development of the department's EU work, and representing Sweden at meetings with EU member states.

Your background
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in social sciences, law, economics, or similar. You need to have good knowledge of the EU and its working methods, as well as very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You have previous experience working with EU or international issues and experience in coordinating tasks. If you also have experience working or interning at the Government Offices or working at the EU representation or EU institutions, we consider this a strong merit. Experience with the parliament's EU work is also meritorious, as well as knowledge of other EU languages, especially French. Experience working on issues within the department's areas is also a merit.

The position is a fixed-term employment, ending on November 30, 2026, with a possibility of extension. Immediate start. A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
