The Economy and Governance Office operates under the Municipal Executive Administration and has a coordinating role by providing support and services to the entire municipality. The office's responsibilities span the entire economic spectrum, including financial planning, accounting, budgeting and follow-up, liquidity and financing issues, investments, and financial administration. The office also houses the municipality's secretariat, responsible for archives, registration, case preparation, and legal matters. Additionally, it is responsible for the municipality's procurement and purchasing, overarching local strategic issues, and the task of coordinating matters related to operational planning, follow-up, statistics, quality, and analysis.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in finance and accounting? We are now seeking an experienced and committed economist to strengthen our team during the implementation of a new financial system.

The role involves independently working with accounting, year-end closing, and participating in the preparation of the annual report. This is a role for you who want to help establish order and clarity and are curious about being involved in the municipality's digital development and changing work methods.

Your tasks will include:

• Accounting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing code and account plans
• Participating in monthly reporting, as well as interim and annual closings
• Contributing to the compilation of the annual report

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, we want you to:

• Have at least a bachelor's degree in economics or other education/work experience deemed equivalent.
• Have several years of experience in municipal financial work
• Have experience working with larger financial systems
• Have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

As a person, you thrive in an environment focused on improvement work and process development. You are confident in your skills, have good collaboration abilities, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

You are meticulous and structured, with an ambition to do things right without getting bogged down in details. You are solution-oriented and enjoy working both independently and in a team, and you are accustomed to handling tasks with high integrity and responsibility. In this role, you will have contact with economists and managers in the organization, which requires a high level of service. You are responsible, adaptable, and attentive, and communicate constructively.

The position is temporary until 2026-06-15, with a possibility of extension.
