About the Position

As a business controller within the Electricity Market department, you will participate in the management team's work and will be an important piece of the puzzle in both strategic and operational tasks. You will work proactively and act as a sounding board for the department's management team as well as support the follow-up of operations. You play a crucial role in analyzing the department's large financial flows and will develop the interface and collaboration with our Finance Department while also contributing to the development of the department's processes and the work with data and information management.

You will help create an understanding of the complexity of the electricity market from both operational and strategic perspectives and ensure that the management team's decisions are made based on well-balanced economic perspectives.

The Role Includes:

• Operational follow-up and reporting
• Follow-up based on metrics and indicators.
• Strategy follow-up based on the department's responsibilities.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and cost follow-up at the departmental level, as well as analyzing and raising deviations to the department's management team.
• Annual process for levels regarding transmission network tariffs and fees for balance-responsible parties within the department and towards the Finance Department.
• Coordinating responsibility for the Finance interface.
• Overall consulting follow-up at the departmental level.
• Follow-up on efficiency measures at the departmental level.

• Leading and preparing the department management team's so-called driving meetings.
• Involved in work with impact analyses and effects on Svenska kraftnät during major market changes.
• If necessary, coordinating deliveries in connection with interim reporting and annual reports.
• Supporting information domain owners responsible for driving the establishment of data and information management within the department based on the framework established within Svenska kraftnät.

The role reports to and is part of the Electricity Market management team but reports organizationally formally to the section manager for Electricity Market Implementation. You will work closely with the department's experts, analysts, and the division's controller.

As the role is new within the department, you will be given great opportunities to develop alongside the establishment and development of the role. In this role, you will have access to large amounts of data and information about the electricity market and its actors, providing a unique opportunity to gain an understanding of the electricity market and its complex interconnections. From a holistic perspective, you will have the opportunity to contribute to wise and well-balanced decisions made within the department and also recommendations upward in the organization. You contribute to increased governance and control by focusing on economic issues and interconnections within the Electricity Market department. The Electricity Market management team consists, in addition to the department head, of four section and unit managers, an electricity market strategist, and a department coordinator. You will work cross-departmentally with many interfaces, primarily internally within the department and towards the Finance Department.

About You

Requirements

As the role involves many contact points, we are looking for someone who is collaborative and can easily adapt to different situations. You enjoy working with others and have a strong focus on goals and results. We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and their skills and has the ability to organize their work in a structured manner.

Furthermore, you have at least an academic degree in engineering or economics or equivalent competence acquired in another way. You also have:

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive the business forward.
• Very good knowledge of the actors, markets, and functions of the electricity market, as well as at least 7 years of work experience in electricity market work.
• Ability to understand complex interconnections and how various changes in the electricity market affect the economic flows of different actors, including TSOs.

Experience in strategy follow-up and reporting to higher management groups.

• Very good analytical skills and the ability to see connections, including extensive experience in analyzing large amounts of data, using statistical methods, and visualizing results and conclusions.
• Experience in data and information management within the electricity market area.
• Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing through visualization in a pedagogical manner and to translate complex interconnections into simple pedagogical summaries.
• Experience in independently leading and driving work.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience in:

• Proven experience in leading, analyzing, and concretizing complex interconnections in a pedagogical manner for higher decision-makers.
• Very good skills in Power BI and can independently establish reports for ongoing follow-up based on the agency's assessment.

• Permanent employment with the possibility of remote work up to 50%.
