Do you want to work with workplace environment issues and sustainable work in a values-driven organization with 300,000 members? IF Metall is now recruiting a union representative for a central and dynamic role, and you will be part of the labor unit at the union office.

The position is full-time and is a permanent employment with placement at the union office at Hötorget in central Stockholm. Here you will work in modern and adapted premises with engaged colleagues.

About the position

The labor unit is responsible for the union's work on issues related to workplace environment, insurance, work organization/production systems, as well as competence and salary system development in workplaces. The unit works systematically to create equality. You will work outwardly to raise interest and engagement for membership and union values.

Your tasks will include being responsible for sustainable work and supporting and advising departments and clubs. You will also participate in working groups and projects with employers and other organizations, as well as contribute to, plan, and conduct various courses and conferences.

Start date according to agreement, salary and employment conditions are according to the agreement for union representatives.

The position includes several travels, mainly nationally to our departments but also to conferences and training that are relevant to the role.

Who are you?

We see that to fit the position, you have very good knowledge of workplace environment issues and specifically regarding sustainable work. You also have knowledge and experience of working with issues regarding work organization, salary systems, and rehabilitation. You have experience in educating, preferably in subjects such as discrimination, diversity, and gender equality.

You have experience in union work and have good negotiation skills.

As a person, you are self-driven. You are responsible, plan, coordinate, adapt, and follow up. You see the whole picture while being meticulous and have a structured working method as the position requires a certain degree of detail focus. Special consideration is given to your ability to collaborate and build relationships. You are unpretentious, have a solution-oriented approach based on cooperation. You have a pedagogical flair and a knowledge-developing working method. Additionally, we wish for communicative competence with good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of English is an advantage.
