The Role of Medical Administrator/Medical Secretary

With our summer positions, we want to offer you an opportunity to learn and develop together with us. You are facing an exciting, developing, and varied job during the summer of 2026. For us, a summer position is not only to practically secure staffing but also to fill your knowledge backpack so that you can leave the summer with additional competence.

The tasks as a summer employee with us consist largely of medical documentation, diagnosis and intervention classification, and in some cases, reception work. Working hours are scheduled during weekdays, daytime.

Your Future Workplace

The Psychiatric Clinic in Jönköping is one of the county's largest clinics with both outpatient and inpatient care within specialist psychiatry. The operation has outpatient clinics, care departments, a medical administrative unit, and a psychiatric emergency department that offers emergency assessments around the clock. The clinic provides psychiatric specialist care for residents over 18 years old. Parts of the clinic are also a county resource responsible for psychiatric intensive care, addiction care, forensic psychiatry, and on-call services where we handle urgent cases within both the adult psychiatric clinic and the child and adolescent psychiatric clinic.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical administrator or medical secretary. Medical administrator students can also apply for work as a medical secretary after one year of studies. Even medical students can apply for the position and will be assessed individually. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form is required to succeed in the role. We expect you to have knowledge of Cosmic.

You have a strong sense of service, quality, and customer care. Personal suitability is highly valued. To enable the best possible summer planning, we view positively if you can work 8 consecutive weeks during the summer. Introduction will take place in addition to these weeks.
