Welcome as a Support Assistant in Work-Oriented Daily Activities!
We are looking for someone interested in working as a support assistant primarily placed in our internal large kitchen and in our business groups.
As a support assistant with us, you are an important part of the participants' everyday life. You are there as support, security, and inspiration throughout the workday. This can involve everything from helping during meals to providing support in care situations and creating structure during the workday. We work daily with AAC, alternative and augmentative communication, including sign language support and low-arousal approaches, to give each individual the best possible conditions to make their voice heard.
No day is the same with us. The work takes place both indoors and outdoors, in groups and individually, and it can sometimes be physically demanding. But above all, it is fun and rewarding!
In the kitchen, you guide the participants to create the day's meal offerings and bake for our activities. You plan menus and ensure that the food tastes good and meets agreed standards. You are also the one who keeps track of household finances and orders goods accordingly.
In our business groups, you work with a specific group of participants on-site with one of our partners.
You have a central role as contact personnel for several participants and collaborate closely with participants, relatives, colleagues, and external contacts. You document in our journal system Treserva and ensure that the interventions are carried out according to agreements – always with the participant's involvement, security, and development in focus. You are not afraid to systematically try the participant's, your own, or others' creative solutions. Our common goal is to offer participants and perform developing and meaningful work tasks on their terms.
The working hours are scheduled on weekdays during the day.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained support assistant or has other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. We prefer that you have many years of experience working in daily activities and/or have documented experience working with individuals with autism and/or cognitive disabilities. If you have previous experience in large kitchen work, food ordering, and related knowledge about environment and health in the field, this is an advantage. In the kitchen, we apply basic hygiene routines, and you are expected to know and follow these.
The position requires very good knowledge of the Office package, Treserva or another journal system, and you need to be well acquainted with the documentation requirements in our area.
It is an advantage if you have experience in/education in clear pedagogical methods, problem-causing behavior, low-arousal approaches, or Studio 3.
A valid driver's license (B) is required.
As you may face challenging behaviors, we place high demands on your personal suitability. We see that you, as an applicant, are a stable person who acts calmly and controlled, even when things do not go as planned. You have good pedagogical insight and are good at adapting your working methods to participants' different conditions and interests.
We are looking for a colleague with a high degree of solution focus who can comfortably adapt to changing conditions with a focus on the individual’s well-being. You are an initiator who likes to try new activities while being smooth with existing routines and flexible with changing conditions.
We look forward to your application!
