In the area of disabilities, measures are implemented according to LSS, the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons, and the Social Services Act (SoL) aimed at people with various disabilities. The measures are designed to strengthen the individual's ability to actively participate in community life and live and reside under secure conditions, with respect for self-determination and integrity. Group homes/support housing, daily activities, short-term accommodation, and various relief forms are some of the support functions. All instances in the chain contribute to qualitative and secure support for people with disabilities.
Within sector social services, optimized staffing is practiced, meaning that one will be able to work in more units than where one is currently placed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a support educator, you will work closely with the unit manager and are expected to take significant responsibility in shaping the operations with a focus on educational work.
You are a resource and role model regarding educational work and in meeting our residents. You work on behalf of the unit manager to ensure the unit's quality work by shaping work shift descriptions and implementing methods, working methods, and routines. In your role, you guide support assistants to ensure that support to our residents is provided adequately in accordance with established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. You also have an overarching insight and support colleagues in social documentation in Lifecare based on IBIC in the implementation plans.
You support residents in their daily lives by creating a predictable, manageable, and comprehensible existence. You provide professional support by empowering the user in their daily life and creating conditions for development and an independent life. All work is based on the user's individually established implementation plan. The work includes all tasks occurring in a home.
As support, you will receive guidance from method developers and will be part of a network with other support educators within housing LSS and daily activities. You will be offered a developing and challenging job with significant responsibility where high demands are placed on your ability to independently drive processes and issues forward, with the support of the unit manager and method developers.
Full-time position (100%). A six-month probationary period applies. The employment involves work during the day and evenings as well as every other weekend according to a schedule.
Interviews will be held on Monday, January 12, between 9 AM and 12 PM, Friday, January 16, between 9 AM and 12 PM, Monday, January 19, between 1 PM and 4 PM, and Friday, January 23, between 9 AM and 12 PM.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with education as a support educator, activation educator, or in behavioral science, as this is meritorious.
You also need to have knowledge of cognitive impairments, autism, Down syndrome, care, clarifying pedagogy, low-affect responses, and the ability to lead support assistants in educational and methodological work.
You are proactive and self-driven with a good ability to lead, coach, and support colleagues. You also need to have a strong commitment and heart for your work, as well as the ability to responsibly implement decisions and agreements.
Proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
