In the city of Mölndal, we are proud to have Sweden's most important jobs where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's everyday lives every day!

The Social and Labor Market Administration exists for the residents of Mölndal, providing support and interventions to achieve an independent life and security. You will join a modern, curious, and development-oriented administration with about 240 employees. We are moving towards a process-oriented working method where the user is in focus.

The Housing Unit has a consolidated mission for housing issues, which involves both regulatory and execution assignments related to the social services' responsibility for housing procurement and eviction prevention work. The city's budget and debt counseling is also organized under the unit.

We are now looking for a social worker as our current colleague is moving on to a new job assignment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The unit's work targets a broad group of people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. However, we are not responsible for housing solutions for individuals needing care and treatment due to addiction issues, extensive psychiatric problems, or criminality.

In your professional role, you will have both an investigative and regulatory role while also having an advisory and outreach function in the eviction prevention work. You will investigate and make decisions regarding the right to assistance for housing, follow up on the granted assistance, and reassess the right to continued assistance. You will place individuals within framework agreements for supported housing but also handle financial assistance for those experiencing structural homelessness.

You will actively work with processes, establish action plans, and assignments. You will support individuals towards independence. You will have close collaboration with housing support staff working with contract follow-ups, housing searches, and housing planning.

Internal and external collaboration is a significant part of your work. This includes external collaboration with landlords and the enforcement authority.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a social worker or has other education deemed equivalent by the employer. It is advantageous if you have previous work experience in regulatory functions within social services, preferably having investigated the right to assistance for housing. You should be interested in and well-acquainted with housing issues within social services and have experience working with socially vulnerable individuals. You are accustomed to documenting and have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. Experience with the data support system Treserva is a merit.

You are a structured and solution-focused person with the willingness and ability to independently organize your work. At the same time, you are responsive and have a professional approach with the assignment and the user in focus. Since collaboration is an important part, we want you to have a holistic perspective and be skilled at creating and maintaining good relationships with other partners. Personal suitability is highly valued.

As an employee of the city of Mölndal, you will receive a wellness allowance of 2000 SEK/year. We work in office premises where you will share an office with a colleague.

Selection and interviews may occur continuously during the advertising period.

We welcome your application today!
