Description

The municipal group in Säffle shall conduct cost-effective and sustainable property ownership and a coordinated management of properties, buildings, and land that actively supports the municipality's long-term development and creates value for residents and businesses.

The municipal board is responsible for land and development activities in the municipality as well as for the management of municipal-owned properties. The board shall also coordinate and control that the quality requirements, goals, guidelines, and programs for operations and finances established by the council are followed up in the committees and companies.

Do you want to help shape the future of community building and the development of the municipality's properties in Säffle? We are facing an exciting transformation and are now looking for a property controller for the municipal board's secretariat. The role is new and gives you the opportunity to influence and develop the work with the municipality's properties from a group perspective, together with experienced and competent colleagues.

Responsibilities

As a controller, you will be a key person in the municipality's work with properties and finances. You will:

• Be responsible for group-wide economic analysis and follow-up within the property area
• Develop key figures, reports, and decision-making materials for municipal management, committees, and boards
• Support long-term planning of the property portfolio, including investments, maintenance, and value development
• Ensure compliance and internal control within the property operations
• Act as an advisor and coordinator between the municipality's administrations and companies
• Manage contracts regarding the management and leasing of the municipality's properties
• Be responsible for project follow-up
• Be involved in shaping and developing the assignment over time

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant academic education in economics, property, or equivalent
• Has experience in controlling, financial management, and analysis, preferably related to properties
• Is analytical, structured, and has a good ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations
• Has good communication skills and can present financial and technical issues in an understandable way
• Is familiar with financial systems and preferably BI tools
• Enjoys working in a dynamic environment where the assignment develops
• Experience from working in a politically governed organization is an advantage
