Course Coordinator at the Swedish Defence University
The Swedish Defence University is an internationally renowned institution in defense, crisis management, and security. We offer a unique academic environment where civilian meets military. We educate civilian and military leaders, experts, and researchers who will analyze and manage today's and future crisis situations and security problems. The Swedish Defence University trains Sweden's officers and leads the academic development of the officer profession. We conduct research in law focusing on operational law and international law, defense systems, war science, leadership and management, military history, and political science.
The Centre for Total Defence and Societal Security (CTSS) gathers all the expertise of the Swedish Defence University and meets society's knowledge needs in total defense and societal security. Our areas of expertise in terrorism, total defense, information security, and crisis preparedness are based on research and proven experience.
CTSS is a commissioned-financed operation that works closely with clients to deliver useful knowledge to leaders and employees in the security sector. Each area of expertise has extensive national and international networks of researchers and practitioners. One of the centre's main strengths is the long-term nature of its operations, which provides clients with continuity for their personnel supply and the opportunity to update knowledge previously conveyed.
CTSS consists of three departments: analysis support, concept education, and the department for commissioned education. In total, there are just over 50 employees at the centre. The position is located at the Department of Concept Education in Karlstad.
