The Chamber of Commerce Värmland is an independent membership organization with approximately 1,150 companies. We are the voice of business in Värmland and a central meeting place for companies that want to develop, grow, and influence. We advocate for issues related to infrastructure, skills supply, internationalization, and green transition, always aiming to create the best possible conditions for businesses in the region. We are now looking for a Policy Manager who wants to help shape the future of Värmland.

About the position

As a Policy Manager, you will be a key person in the Chamber's advocacy work and a central spokesperson for businesses in Värmland. You will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and driving issues that are crucial for the competitiveness of the business sector, such as infrastructure, skills supply, internationalization, and green transition.

Your role includes, among other things:

• Representing the business community to politicians, authorities, and media at local, regional, and national levels.
• Driving and formulating positions on important issues for member companies and ensuring that their needs are communicated in decision-making processes.
• Writing sharp and well-founded texts such as opinion articles, consultation responses, reports, and press releases that create impact.
• Building trusting relationships with decision-makers, civil servants, and other organizations to strengthen the Chamber's position as a credible partner.
• Participating in, leading, and moderating networks, dialogue forums, meetings, and seminars where the voice of business should be heard.
• Being a visible representative of the Chamber in media and public contexts, with the ability to explain complex issues in a simple way.

In short, you ensure that the voice of businesses is heard and has an impact on the decisions that shape the future of Värmland, while building relationships and driving the issues that are most important for the region's companies.

About you

We are looking for someone with a strong drive to influence societal development and who thrives in the intersection of politics, business, and media. You are analytical, communicative, and confident in speaking and writing for different target groups. As a person, you are proactive, engaged, and have a genuine interest in the conditions and needs of businesses.

We would like you to have:

- Experience in advocacy, social impact, or political work.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Understanding of political decision-making processes.

- Understanding of the everyday life and needs of businesses.

- Ability to build long-term and trusting relationships.

Experience representing organizations in the media, as well as networks within politics, business, or society in and around Värmland, is a plus.
