We are now looking for a self-driven accountant for our client's office in Karlstad. You will play a key role in our Swedish operations and be an important support in both daily financial work and strategic decision-making.

As an accountant, you will report directly to our client's Sweden manager and functionally report to our CFO in Norway. You will also have close collaboration with the accounting manager at the headquarters outside Oslo, which means some travel (about 4 times a year) is included in the position.

Since our client does not have a CFO in Sweden, it is important that you are confident in your skills, self-driven, and can take full responsibility for the Swedish company's financial reporting and processes.

Ongoing bookkeeping and documentation of business transactions

Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and preparation of annual reports

Budgeting and forecasting work together with management

Tax and VAT reporting as well as reporting to Swedish authorities

Financial analysis and monitoring of cash flow, profitability, and investments

Responsibility for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and liquidity management

Handling of currency (including hedging)

Reporting on investments and inventory of fixed assets

Collaboration with the Norwegian controller and accounting team for the preparation of 'Segment Figures'

Ad-hoc reporting and support for group reporting

Relevant post-secondary education in finance/accounting

A few years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an international company

Good understanding of Swedish accounting practices, tax, and VAT

Experience in year-end closing and regulatory reporting

Ability to work independently and in a structured manner

Very good communication skills in Swedish and English

Good computer skills and experience with accounting systems
