Communicator Focused on Climate and Environmental Work

The Environmental Administration is now looking for a communicator focused on communication efforts that advance Malmö City's climate and environmental work. Responsibilities

Your main task is to plan, coordinate, and practically work with communication efforts related to Malmö City's climate transition – both internally and externally.

You play an important role in the entire communication chain – from strategic planning and analysis to operational implementation. With support from current research, you will find relevant and effective ways to communicate environmental and climate work to different target groups.

In your role, you will for example:

• Collaborate in a team with colleagues in the communications department
• Work closely with the organization and management on strategic advice
• Project manage communication assignments
• Make complex content clear and engaging for different target groups
• Produce content for our channels

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in strategic communication or equivalent education assessed as comparable by the employer.

You are a communicator who finds it easy to express yourself in both speech and writing, in both Swedish and English. You have several years of experience in the role of communicator, preferably in a larger organization. You have experience of the entire communication chain from planning and implementation to follow-up.

You easily switch between strategic and operational work and are used to creating content for web and social media. You should have basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

We are looking for a humble person who can think holistically and collaborate in various teams. You have the ability to concretize and simply explain complex contexts. You are attentive and can drive issues forward in a constructive manner.

About the Workplace

The communications department of the Environmental Administration consists of eight employees, of which five are communicators tasked with communicating Malmö City's climate and environmental work. We work both strategically and practically with internal and external communication. This means that we together plan, develop, coordinate, quality assure, and follow up on the administration's communication work.

The Environmental Administration leads and coordinates Malmö City's environmental work. Through supervision and control according to the Environmental Code and the Food Act, we work for a safe environment that is not harmful to human health. We take environmental interests into account in urban planning, coordinate Malmö City's environmental program, and drive work for sustainable development in the municipality. Through supervision, advice, and strategic environmental work, we strive to make Malmö a sustainable city.
