The position of local strategist is located in the municipal management department and the development unit within the department for strategic community development.

As a local strategist with a coordinating function, you will work together with your colleague to contribute to ensuring effective local supply in the municipality. We have a new local supply process in which you and your colleague play a crucial role. In your role, you also have a supportive function for the administrations in the local supply work.

Job Responsibilities

The tasks of the local strategist are varied, and the role involves close contacts with colleagues in the technical administration, representatives from other administrations, property owners, and politicians. As a local strategist, you are responsible for:

• Coordinating the municipality's local strategic work based on the collective local needs of the committees
• Developing the municipal management department's local needs plan
• Participating in the development of the municipality's local supply plan
• Preparing and presenting decision-making materials for local projects regarding decisions on investments or leases
• Participating in and leading project groups for feasibility studies in new and renovation projects
• Working for a cost-effective use of the premises of the operations

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with experience in local supply or property planning with a technical, legal, or property economic focus. You have a university degree with a focus on economics, community building, or another relevant field.

We would like you to have experience in strategic work with properties and premises, as well as having previously worked with project management or coordination at a comprehensive level.

For the job, you need a B driver's license.

Since this is both a strategic and operational role, the ability to drive projects forward independently and be self-sufficient in problem-solving is important. It is an advantage if you have experience working in a politically governed organization. To succeed in this role, you need to be self-driven, engaged, and have a good ability to create and maintain relationships. You need, just like us, to place great value on delivery, openness, and collaboration. You have an excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing since you will, among other things, conduct simpler investigations, prepare materials for political decisions, respond to referrals, and give presentations to various target groups.

About us

The municipal management department has the overarching responsibility for, among other things, financial management, personnel policy, and case handling. The municipal management department consists of six divisions and is responsible for overarching development issues and common functions. The department's tasks include strategic planning, environmental monitoring, and implementation of municipality-wide decisions, projects, and security work.

Within the department for strategic community development, there are land and development, business, and development units.

Within the development unit, we work with strategic local supply, strategic infrastructure, and operational development.
