HR Strategist with a Focus on Labor Law and Negotiation
Do you want to strengthen Eslöv Municipality's employer policy and contribute to a professional, legally secure, and cohesive HR function?
We are looking for an experienced HR strategist with a clear specialist profile in labor law and negotiation. The role is central to the municipality's application of laws, agreements, and employer strategic issues, and you will be an important support to both managers, HR partners, and trade unions.
This is the position for you who are confident in your labor law expertise and thrive in a role with significant responsibility, complex issues, and many points of contact. You combine legal sharpness with a stable, attentive, and trust-building way of working.
Your Mission
As an HR strategist in labor law and negotiation, you have a municipality-wide responsibility for several of our most significant employer processes. You work both strategically and operationally and collaborate closely with HR partners, trade unions, and managers at all levels.
Your mission includes:
- driving and coordinating the municipality's salary review process – from analysis to follow-up
- being a sounding board and support for HR partners in matters related to labor law, salary formation, and negotiation
- being responsible for training in labor law and salary formation within the framework of our leadership program
- ensuring a uniform and legally secure handling of labor law matters
- making decisions together with the department head on matters related to disciplinary actions, salary-leading salaries, and salary supplements
- being the municipality's contact person towards SKR in matters related to laws, agreements, and employer issues
- being the responsible administrator for signing and terminating local collective agreements
- coordinating the municipality's work with job structure and the implementation of the salary transparency directive
- working on issues related to working hours, collaboration, and MBL
The role involves many points of contact and places high demands on integrity, judgment, and communicative clarity.
Your Experience
You have a background that allows you to confidently take responsibility for our most qualified labor law and negotiation work. You are used to working in a complex context and handling cases where law, operational needs, and relationships need to be balanced.
We are looking for someone who has:
- solid knowledge of labor law and collective agreements
- experience in qualified negotiations, preferably in the public sector
- experience in investigating, analyzing, and handling complex personnel matters
- experience in working with salary formation and salary review processes
- experience in training and supporting managers in labor law issues
Experience from a politically governed organization is meritorious.
Is This You?
You combine specialist competence with a calm, clear, and trust-building approach. In meetings with managers, HR partners, and union representatives, you quickly create security and structure, and you maintain your direction even when issues are sensitive or when different interests are far apart.
You have the ability to keep focus on the issue and allow the dialogue to continue moving forward even when the pace is high or when different interpretations and perspectives arise. At the same time, you work independently and take responsibility for driving matters to conclusion, but you are happy to discuss ideas and build common working methods with colleagues when it enhances quality.
We are looking for someone who:
- builds trust and structure in meetings with various stakeholders
- maintains calm and professionalism even in complex and sensitive situations
- clearly distinguishes between the issue and the person and contributes to constructive dialogues
- drives issues independently, takes responsibility, and acts with good judgment
- sees the value of collaboration and uses dialogue as a tool for progress
- can clarify legal reasoning and make complex issues understandable for others
- contributes to stability, clarity, and a respectful work environment
